Well, can we say the Kansas City Chiefs are 0-0 now? After all the doom and gloom that came week by week watching this team, the playoffs are upon us. Your eight-time AFC West champions play host to the Miami Dolphins this Saturday, opening up a whole host of matchups and other questions for the opening round.

This is the time of year when nothing should be left in the tank. Every week is win or go home. The AFC playoff tree has plenty of flawed yet daunting opponents for the Chiefs. But, we cannot look forward to another matchup before they win Saturday's game. Rather, let's look at some general questions the Chiefs face this week and the postseason as a whole.

Question #1: How much will K.C.'s defense have to carry the offense?

This question has plagued the Chiefs, fans, and team like, all season long. The Chiefs have relied heavily on their defense to compensate for the struggles of their offense throughout the entire season. Despite their defensive efforts, it remains uncertain how much longer they can continue to carry the weight and maintain their success.

It was appropriate that the defense and special teams outscored the offense against the Chargers. Defensive end Charles Omenihu stripped Chargers quarterback Easton Stick, and then safety Mike Edwards took the ball 97 yards for the score. That touchdown was the deciding one in Kansas City's 13-12 win.

Don't get me wrong, I love watching the defense score touchdowns. It has a nostalgic effect on me. But, the saying "defense wins championships' does not ring true in today's NFL. Kansas City's defense, no matter how elite, can only carry the team so far into the postseason.
