I thoroughly believe not all football coaches are created equal. Some coaches are just better suited for the coordinator role, focusing on their side of the ball rather than the all-encompassing role that a head coach fills. For example, Steve Spagnuolo seems to excel as a coordinator, putting his dismal head coaching record in the past and leading Kansas City's dominant defense. The unit has plenty of talent, but not much has gone wrong for Kansas City's defense under Spagnuolo's lead.

Kansas City's divisional foe has a solid offensive attack, whether it be pounding the rock or passing the ball deep. Spagnuolo has his hands full this week. I think that if Spagnuolo wants to make another attempt at head coaching, he can do so and be an underrated candidate in the next coaching hiring cycle. Every playoff game only helps his resume.
