2024 Sunday Night Football Schedule: The complete SNF slate

The Kansas City Chiefs are making two appearances on Sunday Night Football among their five primetime showings in 2024.

The National Football League revealed its full regular-season schedule this week, showing the Kansas City Chiefs their direct path forward to attempt a historic three-peat. It also showed just how challenging that road will be for every team given how crowded the field looks in both conferences and how long the NFL season can be.

For fans waiting for the kickoff of a new season, the unveiling of the Sunday Night Football slate yields several must-watch matchups for the season ahead.

The Detroit Lions have big expectations for the year ahead, and they'll host longtime Lions QB Matthew Stafford and the Rams in the SNF opener on September 8. The next week will give us our first primetime look at the top pick in the draft as Caleb Williams and the remade Chicago Bears visit the young and exciting Houston Texans.

The Chiefs will play their first of two scheduled SNF games in Week 3 against Kirk Cousins in his new environs with the Atlanta Falcons. Later on, in Week 14, the Chiefs will appear in a divisional showdown against the L.A. Chargers on Sunday night in a game that could be very interesting, depending on how Jim Harbaugh fares in his first season back in the NFL.

Other top games that will have fans ready and waiting will be the Cowboys and 49ers in a major NFC showdown in Week 8 and the Bills and Ravens in an AFC thriller in Week 4. Both games should have significant playoff ramifications down the road.
