Chris Jones, Defensive Tackle

Back-to-back polarizing players from this season. This time, we're reviewing a player who brought a lot of the polarization upon himself by voluntarily holding out to the point where he missed a regular season game, which the Chiefs lost.

Despite the "bad vibes", Chris Jones has been pretty much the same elite pass rusher that he's been for the past several years. Yes, his run defense has taken a step back this season, but he's paid to be the star pass rusher.

There are valid arguments on both sides whether or not Chris Jones should be back next season. On one hand, he's a future Hall of Famer who's a Top 3 player at his position in the NFL. The KC defensive line would take a huge step back without him, especially the defensive tackle room as there isn't much quality depth behind him.

On the other hand, he'll be 30 in July and players of his size don't exactly as gracefully as others. He asked for $30M+/season last offseason and if he has the same demands, it could make sense to let him go. Since there is another giant free agent on the defensive side of the ball (more on that later), I'm not sure if the team will tag him for the second time in his career.

Odds that he's back: 40%
