The latest Arrowhead Addict podcast takes a look at the one word haters attach most to this year's roster.

A last-second field goal. Then another. A toe out of bounds in the end zone. A blocked field goal. An overtime coin toss.

Even through a half-season of Kansas City Chiefs football this season, there's been no shortage of drama for NFL fans to enjoy in one primetime game after another. Somehow the Chiefs have come out of the first 10 weeks of the season unscathed—at least in the standings. Through 9 games, they're the only perfect team remaining in the NFL with a 9-0 record heading into Week 11.

Per Pro Football Reference's formula for Expected Wins, the Chiefs should be closer to a 6-3 record, but they've managed to come away with the victory in every close scenario. Given the number of close games played by the Chiefs, it's led some opposing fans to blame refs, claiming the league is rigged, and saying the Chiefs are "lucky".

Just how applicable is this term? Are the Chiefs really lucky at all? Aren't they already the best team coming back for a third consecutive Super Bowl? What role does luck play with anything at all in the NFL?

On the latest Arrowhead Addict podcast episode, our hosts Adam Best and Sterling Holmes took a closer look at the topic.
