Sterling Holmes and Adam Best discuss the notion of a perfect season for the Chiefs on the latest Arrowhead Addict podcast.
It might feel a bit early to start asking questions, but to be frank, no one predicted that the Kansas City Chiefs would even be undefeated at this point in the season.
The Chiefs at the present hour are a full game-and-a-half up over absolutely everyone else in the entire AFC and that's only through seven games played for the red and gold. Everyone else has lost at least two games in the conference and the picture is even bleaker (or the distance is even greater) in the AFC West (2.5 games over the Denver Broncos).
So yes, if you're keeping track, that means matchups against the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals have already come and gone without a loss. It also means the Chiefs have gotten the best of the San Francisco 49ers once again and have begun to run the table in the division once more with road wins over the Chargers and Raiders.
Can they continue their good fortunes? The Bucs are up next, but the biggest foes awaiting them are the Buffalo Bills in a few weeks and the Houston Texans near season's end. Yet even then, Houston just lost Stefon Diggs for the year and Buffalo is the team with something to prove against K.C.—not the other way around.
