Unless you've been living under a rock these past few weeks, you probably heard the news that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are officially married. The two tied the knot over the Fourth of July holiday and slowly but surely, some details are trickling out about the event.
Something that wasn't surprising is that Patrick Mahomes was in attendance. Obviously the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback would be attending his star tight end's nuptials, especially since Brittany Mahomes and Swift seemingly grew close over the past few years. That part makes sense.
Pat McAfee couldn't tell fans much about the event, nor can any of the guests in attendance, but one thing he dropped during his show on Monday will make Chiefs fans giddy with excitement. After McAfee showered Kelce and Swift with praise, he pivoted to talking about Mahomes.
"I saw the entire Kansas City Chiefs team,” McAfee said on Monday's episode of The Pat McAfee Show. “I know [Mahomes] was injured last year, and I don’t wanna give wanna away too much stuff breaking from the wedding. Patrick Mahomes was in the middle of the dance floor. How could you not be, with everything that’s going on?”

Now, of course, this could mean literally anything. Maybe Mahomes was just standing in the middle of the dance floor and watching as others broke it down. Considering the source, however, it feels more likely that Mahomes was taking part in the festivities and, as the kids say, busting a move.
People recovering from surgery can dance but if Mahomes was in the middle of the festivities and leading the charge, that's good news that he's back to full health. While it's been widely speculated that the two-time MVP quarterback would be back under center for the Chiefs in Week 1, there were certainly still some doubts.
And, even if Mahomes is back under center and taking the snaps, who's to say he'll be up to his old bag of tricks? Hopefully, something as simple as him dancing at his best buddy's wedding is a good sign of what's to come for the Kansas City Chiefs in the year 2026.
