One bold prediction says Mahomes will torch the Ravens

Here's hoping Mahomes can work his magic like at least one person believes in Week 4.

Patrick Mahomes deserves better than this.

Starting out yet another season without his top two wide receivers has, once again, muted the production of Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs' offense. With Rashee Rice suspended and Xavier Worthy injured, the Chiefs are starved for playmakers, and Mahomes' numbers look rather pedestrian despite being the best quarterback in the NFL today.

Previous seasons have shown what Mahomes can do when given proper tools, but the years following the trade of Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins haven't been kind to the Chiefs' offense. Attempts to replace Hill haven't worked and injuries have claimed anyone else who could be effective.

So far this season, Mahomes is trending toward career-low numbers in pretty much every category. His 59 percent completion rate is over 7 points below his average. His 223 passing yards/game average is more than 60 yards below his norm. Mahomes' career QB rating is 101.6, but he's sitting at 83.4 through three games.

Let's hope Mahomes comes through on a bold prediction for Week 4.

That's why Chiefs Kingdom can only hope that one bold prediction for Week 4 will come true. Ryan Heckman of NFL Spin Zone believes in Mahomes Magic, at least against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, and says the Chiefs quarterback will come away with a 300-yard, 3-touchdown performance against John Harbaugh's defense.

To be fair, the Ravens have allowed the most points in the NFL through three games, and have been torched by opposing passers so far in 2025. However, it's also worth mentioning that the Ravens are 1-2 with those losses coming at the hands of the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions.

The prediction for Mahomes go big at home is hopeful for a couple of reasons. First, the Chiefs might get Xavier Worthy back into the fold after suffering a torn labrum in his right shoulder in Week 1. If that's the case, he instantly becomes the most dynamic playmaker on offense. Second, Tyquan Thornton has emerged as a trusted downfield target for Mahomes, and he had 71 yards and 1 touchdown a week ago in the team's win over the New York Giants.

The Chiefs' defense is already establishing itself as a strong unit once again, and Steve Spagnuolo's schemes have carried the team through tough stretches before. While it's primed to do so once again, it'd be nice to see some signs of life from an offense that has largely sputtered in a new year.
