The National Football League has officially announced the offseason workout program dates for all 32 franchises before the 2025 season begins. That means Kansas City Chiefs fans can plan out their spring and summer calendars to keep close tabs on the team.

The Chiefs will begin their spring workout season with their rookie minicamp, which will run from May 3-5. It's here that the team's coaches will get their first look at this year’s draft class en masse. It's also important to note that several undrafted free agents and prospect invites will also be at Arrowhead for their first glimpse at NFL life.

Specifically during Chiefs rookie minicamp, fans should look forward to initial reports of how the team is using draft picks and how the young players look when in competition with one another.

The NFL has released the Chiefs’ offseason workout schedule as preparations ramp up for the 2025 season.

Some important rookie minicamp storylines to watch will be how Josh Simmons looks in his rehabilitation from a patellar tendon injury and how Jalen Royals is coming along from an ankle issue as well.

In terms of undrafted free agents, it will be fun to see how incoming signees like former Clemson tight end Jake Briningstool and former Florida wideout Elijhah Badger look in red and gold. Also keep an eye on the punter competition as the Chiefs signed the Ray Guy Award winner from a year ago in USC punter Eddie Czaplicki.

Following the team's rookie minicamp, Chiefs' Organized Team Activities (OTAs) are scheduled for May 27-29, June 2-4, and June 10-13. While these sessions are voluntary, attendance is usually quite high given that OTAs are a critical time for new players to get into the playbook and coaches can begin to build some chemistry and familiarity with the new roster.

The Chiefs' mandatory minicamp, which per the name requires all players on the roster to attend, will take place June 17-19.

When the veterans report, it will be interesting to see further injury updates there as well. Rashee Rice is returning from a season-ending injury, as is tight Jared Wiley and linebacker Jack Cochrane.

Per the NFL's collective bargaining agreement, the Chiefs' offseason workouts is divided into three distinct phases over a nine-week period. No live contact is ever allowed in any phase, but coaches are allowed to slowly ramp things up over time to include eventual 7-on-7 or 11-on-11 practice drills.

With dates now set, the countdown to training camp and the 2025 season officially begins.
