Preach, Nate!

The Kansas City Chiefs are heading to Super Bowl LIX and people are not happy. Non-Chiefs fans have been sick of the Chiefs' domination for years now but their recent win over the 'lovable' Buffalo Bills made them even more hated.

Former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson was not here for the Chiefs slander and called out the haters on the CBS post-game show.

"Resist the urge to fall for the narrative that we're tired of seeing [the Chiefs win, that we might be fatigued of watching K.C. go to the Super Bowl," Burleson said. "You are witnessing greatness and just be happy that you are alive to be there to see it."

Now look, it's easy for Chiefs fans to be elated about the team's success. We should all be happy to see this team wheeling and dealing every year because we know all too well what it's like to not watch our team in Super Bowls. Some fans had 50 years of practice. That's what makes this run that much more enjoyable is knowing that it's not always going to be like this.

That being said, it's easy to understand why people are sick of it. Chiefs fans were tired of watching the Patriots dominate for 20 years and now the Chiefs are essentially the Patriots. They're the villains of the league and it's fun for us but annoying for everyone else.

Burleson's comments didn't go over well, as you can expect. People don't like being told how to feel, especially when it comes to Patrick Mahomes continuing to win big games in the playoffs.

While people are going to be bothered by what Burleson said, he's right (and yes, I know this is a Chiefs blog so you're all agreeing with me anyway but bear with me). The Chiefs have a chance to do something that no NFL team has done before and that's freaking cool!

If they win in New Orleans to secure the fourth Super Bowl of Mahomes' career, they'll officially have won three straight Super Bowls. Even Tom Brady didn't do that. So yes, this is history we're witnessing. People don't have to like it, but Chiefs fans honestly don't really care whether or not they do. They're living the dream right now.
