Former Kansas City Chiefs center Mitch Morse was kind enough to hang out on the Arrowhead Addict podcast this week for a wide-ranging conversation that covered his draft day experience, leaving Kansas City for Buffalo, and what he thinks of the first round of offseason moves in K.C.
Morse was the Chiefs' second-round choice in the 2015 NFL Draft and took over for one of the league's best centers in Rodney Hudson. Morse discussed his experience coming to Kansas City from Missouri as well as the seemingly overwhelming demands of taking over the position as a rookie for Andy Reid.
We spoke with former Chiefs center Mitch Morse about a dozen topics, from Kenneth Walker to KC BBQ.
The conversation veers in several directions, which makes for an engaging and informative listen for Chiefs fans on a number of topics—from BBQ to Buffalo wings, from Creed Humphrey's greatness to Tyler Linderbaum's massive new contract, from playing for Josh Allen to living in Jacksonville.
Morse also offered up his insights on the Chiefs' offseason, saying that he thought the signing of Kenneth Walker III to anchor a remade backfield was an excellent move. He also noted that the signing of defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga isn't getting nearly enough attention.
We also asked Morse about the most overlooked teammate he ever had with the Chiefs, and what he'd say if pressed to answer which team he roots for when the Bills and Chiefs play one another.
Morse is rebranding his own podcast from Monday Mornings with Mitch to In Good Company with Mitch Morse, and if this conversation is any indication, it's definitely worth your time. Check out more here.
