The Kansas City Chiefs have made some noise when it comes to the offensive line this offseason. First, they traded Joe Thuney to the Bears, leaving a massive gap on the left side of the line. Second, they filled part of that gap by inking Jaylon Moore to a two-year deal worth $30 million.

Say what you want about the Moore signing but the Chiefs clearly think he's good enough to slot in as a full-time left tackle. We'll see if they're right when the 2025 season gets underway.

In the meantime, with a new addition in Kansas City to help protect Patrick Mahomes, let's take a look at the latest Chiefs' offensive line depth chart.

How does Chiefs' OL depth chart look with Jaylon Moore on board?

Projected starting o-line: Jaylon Moore, Kingsley Suamataia, Creed Humphrey, Trey Smith, Jawaan Taylor

The starting offensive line feels pretty straightforward now that this move has been made. The only true question mark after Thuney was traded was: Who would play left tackle? Now that Moore is coming to Kansas City, that's not a question mark anymore.

We know for certain that Humphrey, Smith, and Taylor will play center, right guard, and right tackle respectfully. Left guard is still a bit of a toss-up but there were reports after the Thuney trade that Suamataia is going to get a shot to win the starting job there. Let's hope it works out for him after left tackle didn't go so well for the former second-rounder.

O-line depth: Ethan Driskell, C.J. Hanson, Jason Godrick, McKade Mettauer, Wanya Morris, Hunter Nourzad

The depth leaves a bit to be desired if we're being honest here. Morris is the most notable name here and will provide a swing option for the Chiefs if injuries occur. It wouldn't be crazy to see Kansas City add more offensive line depth in the draft so this list is surely subject to change.

The Chiefs are in better shape on the o-line than they were before the Moore signing but he doesn't have much experience as a starter in the league. Moore has started just 12 games in four years in the league, filling in whenever Trent Williams had to miss time in San Francisco. Let's hope he's up for the task of protecting Patrick Mahomes' blindside.
