With the conclusion of Week 18, the 2024 NFL regular season is in the books and it was a special one for the Kansas City Chiefs. K.C. was 15-1 entering the final week of the season and already locked up the one-seed, their fourth one-seed since Patrick Mahomes became the Chiefs' starting quarterback.

While the Chiefs still have their sights set on being the first-ever team to win three straight Super Bowls, they have next week off so we can take some time to discuss something other than the playoffs and that's the opponents on Kansas City's schedule in 2025. Now, we don't know the order these games will be played yet, only who the Chiefs will play next season.

Every year, the Chiefs play the entire AFC West, another entire division from the AFC, an entire division from the NFC (both of which rotate every year), and then whoever placed in the same spot as them in the other two AFC divisions and a rotating NFC division. In 2025, the entire divisions K.C. will play are the AFC South and the NFC East. Since the Chiefs won the AFC West, they'll get the winners from the AFC East, AFC North, and NFC North.

Chiefs 2025 home opponents

  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Denver Broncos
  • Detroit Lions
  • Houston Texans
  • Indianapolis Colts
  • Las Vegas Raiders
  • Los Angeles Chargers
  • Philadelphia Eagles
  • Washington Commanders

The unique teams coming to Arrowhead Stadium this year are the Lions, Texans, Colts, Eagles, and Commanders. The Chiefs played the Texans at Arrowhead in 2023 and won but Houston is hoping to bounce back after a lackluster season (that still saw them make the postseason).

The Chiefs-Eagles game gives us a rematch of Super Bowl LVII where K.C. won in the final seconds. The Eagles won the last regular-season game between the two and Nick Sirianni infamously taunted Chiefs fans on his way out of the stadium only for his own team to then suffer an epic collapse in the final two months of that season.

The Commanders were a lot of fun to watch in 2024 and Jayden Daniels has made that team a contender so that could be a really exciting match-up. Of course, the Lions were the top team in the NFC this year and should be formidable next season as well.

There are some great games on tap at Arrowhead for next season!

Chiefs 2025 away opponents

  • Buffalo Bills
  • Dallas Cowboys
  • Denver Broncos
  • Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Las Vegas Raiders
  • Los Angeles Chargers
  • New York Giants
  • Tennessee Titans

The Chiefs will once again have to face the Bills on the road, as the two teams both won their divisions and it's the AFC East's turn to host their AFC West counterparts. For those looking to a unique city to watch their team play at in 2025, the good guys will be playing in Dallas, Jacksonville, New York, and Nashville.

You'll notice that the Cincinnati Bengals are not on the list of opponents for the 2025 season and that's because the AFC West and AFC North aren't playing each other next season as they were in 2024. Since the Bengals didn't win their division, they're not on K.C.'s schedule in 2025 and the two will only potentially meet in the playoffs, if at all. It'll be the first time the two haven't played each other in the regular season since 2020, which was Joe Burrow's rookie year.

Looking at the opponents right now, it's a mixed bag. On the one hand, K.C. gets the overall weak AFC South but they also have notoriously struggled against the Colts throughout recent history. The Titans have also given them problems in recent years.

The fact of the matter is that as long as the Chiefs are winning their division, they're going to continue to have difficult schedules every year. So far, it hasn't stopped them and has only made them better when the playoffs start. Let's hope the same is true for next season.
