Kadarius Toney dunks on Chiefs in the middle of Super Bowl 59 blowout

He's delirious.

The Kansas City Chiefs who went into Super Bowl 59 were not the same team who took on the Philadelphia Eagles two years ago.

The team that narrowly defeated Philadelphia in Super Bowl 57 did not have former All Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. They didn't have the speedster Xavier Worthy, either. Both teams looked different, in fact. These Eagles were a different group just two years ago, as well.

One particular player who was missing on this night and was on the field two years ago for the Chiefs is someone who made a couple of big plays in that Super Bowl victory.

Former Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney returned a punt 65 yards in the fourth quarter of that game, setting an NFL record, before later catching a touchdown from Patrick Mahomes.

When the Chiefs found themselves down 24-0 at halftime after a miserable first two quarters, Toney figured it would be a good idea to poke a little fun at his former team.

More Chiefs news:

Kadarius Toney foolishly hinted he'd have made a difference in Super Bowl 59

Toney seemed to insinuate that the Chiefs were sorely missing him by posting a picture of Batman's "bat signal," but he is kidding himself if he believes he'd have made a difference.

This is the guy who, at every stop he made along the way in his short career, had fans pulling their hair out for one reason or another. Whether it was a silly penalty, dropping a pass or simply being in the wrong place, Toney did more than enough to warrant his being released by the Chiefs in August of 2024.

Toney did go on to sign with the Cleveland Browns practice squad and, after finally being called up in Week 14, cost his team with a taunting penalty and also muffed a punt.

The Browns couldn't even stand keeping him around as he was released on December 10.

If you were released by the 2024 Browns, that's saying something.

No, Kadarius, you would not have been of any assistance for your former team in this one. But, keep on living in your ridiculous fantasy if you so desire.
