The Kansas City Chiefs may have finally put together their best wide receiver room since the departure of Tyreek Hill, which is a welcome reward for a fanbase that has been frustrated with this team's inability to get the most out of Patrick Mahomes during some of the best years of his career.

Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who has had varying degrees of success next to Mahomes in Kansas City, is extremely bullish on what this group could look like in the future, irrespective of him being a part of it or not.

In an exclusive interview with Arrowhead Addict on behalf of Just For Men, Smith-Schuster talked up this collection of pass-catchers after an offseason spent honing their skills.

"I think they got a great receiver room," Smith-Schuster said. "You talk about Xavier Worthy, he's fast already, but being able to polish up his craft, he's getting better. You got guys like Rashee being able to have a full season back under his belt this upcoming year...And then you add a guy like Jalen Royals, who's who's a very quiet dude, but he just works...and just talking to those guys, man, it's gonna be a great room."

Worthy's per-game production stagnated in his second season, but his speed is still such a weapon that defenses need to respect him. Perhaps Eric Bieniemy could get more out of him than Matt Nagy. Royals caught just two passes as a rookie, but the athletic gifts are clear and obvious.

Rice has had another offseason marred by controversy, but the Chiefs still plan to use him as one of the lynchpins of their passing game. After busting in New England, the Chiefs managed to use the gangly Thronton as a veteran target in a way the Patriots never quite managed to achieve.

This room may have some additional cavalry coming in the 2026 NFL Draft. With Kansas City in possession of the No. 9 overall pick, a player like Ohio State's Carnell Tate, USC's Makai Lemon, or Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson could suit up and make their way to Kansas City.

With those improved pass catchers, Travis Kele coming back, and the addition of Bieniemy to the coaching staff, the Chiefs may be in a more advantageous position than in past seasons due to the depth and quality of the perimeter options Mahomes has to choose from.
