The Kansas City Chiefs got off to a slower start than they usually did in the Patrick Mahomes era. They were 0-2 to start the year, but last week, improved to 3-3 after easily defeating the Detroit Lions. But in Week 7, the Chiefs got top wide receiver Rashee Rice back from a six-game suspension stemming from his role in a multi-car accident during the offseason. Rice accepted his punishment from the NFL and vowed to serve the six-game ban.
It didn't take long for Rice to make an impact in his return to the Chiefs.
On their first possession of the game against the rival Las Vegas Raiders, the Chiefs and Mahomes orchestrated a nine-play, 92-yard opening drive. The drive culminated in Mahomes connecting with Rice on a two-yard shovel pass, and the receiver found the end zone with ease.

If you thought the Chiefs and Rice were done there, you are mistaken.
Rashee Rice scores two touchdowns in return to Chiefs
Just as the first half was about to end, Rice found the end zone again. At the end of a ridiculous 16-play, 94-yard drive, Rice beat Raiders cornerback Kyu Blue Kelly in a one-on-one matchup and hauled in a three-yard pass from Mahomes in the end zone.

In the first half, Rice hauled in six-of-eight targets for 36 yards and two touchdowns. As for Mahomes, he completed 18-of-24 pass attempts for 206 yards and three touchdowns, earning him a 139.9 passer rating.
The Cheifs didn't make any additional moves upon learning of Rice's suspension, as they stuck with who they had on the roster and waited for their top pass-catcher not named Travis Kelce to return. So far, while he didn't put up a ridiculous amount of yardage, he gave the Chiefs a difference-maker on the field.
Yes, it's only two quarterback, but the Chiefs offense looks way better than they did the first six weeks of the season.
