The Super Bowl is by far the biggest sporting event on everyone's calendar each year, and for various reasons. This year, it's safe to say most are tuning in to watch the game itself between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
While the game, itself, is typically full of entertainment, there are a variety of other aspects to it which people love. Whether it's getting together with friends and family to eat your favorite snacks, gluing your eyes to the TV in the middle of commercial breaks in hopes for a belly-busting laugh or even some of the musical facets.
Prior to the game, it becomes one distinct person's great privilege to sing our country's National Anthem. The Star Spangled Banner has been part of professional sporting events for over 100 years now
And, every year, many folks want to know just how long the anthem is going to go. It's even become part of the betting world, funny enough.
Looking at the Super Bowl anthem's history, the shortest performance was given by Neil Diamond in 1987 when he sang it in just 1:02 at Super Bowl 21.
As for the longest? It was Alicia Keys back in 2013 when she sang it in 2:36 before Super Bowl 47.
Prior to Super Bowl 59, the past eight anthems have alternated above and below two minutes, every other year, which could make those prop bets a little more interesting. Last year, Reba McIntire sang it in 1:35.
The over/under for Jon Batiste and this year's National Anthem was set at 120.5 seconds, per Bet MGM.
Who sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl 59?
During this year's Super Bowl, the lucky performer happened to be a native of New Orleans. Jon Batiste has been one of the biggest names in R&B music for years now and put out his first album at age 17.
Batiste, now 38, has released a total of six albums and even won a Grammy in 2020 for his record, "We Are."

For whose who bet the over on this year's Super Bowl national anthem, it was a good day. While some outlets reported the under hitting, official bets did cash on the over, with an unofficial time of 2:01.
Just barely, but the over hit.
Congrats to those who bet the over!
