While the start of the 2026 NFL season is still months away, there is football to watch these days, as the UFL kicked off its third campaign over the weekend.
There are plenty of former Kansas City Chiefs scattered throughout the league, one of whom is wide receiver Justyn Ross, who was released by the team last July, failed to latch on with another NFL team, and was selected by the Birmingham Stallions in the UFL draft back in January.
The Stallions kicked off their 2026 season against the Louisville Kings, one of the league's three new franchises along with the Columbus Aviators and Orlando Storm, with the trio replacing the Michigan Panthers, Memphis Showboats, and San Antonio Brahmas, which were relocated.
Ross caught just two passes, but one happened to be the game-winning touchdown. But that wasn't actually the big news coming out of the game, as the bigger story was an incident at halftime in which he had to be restrained by his teammates from attacking a group of fans.

In a video posted to X, the Stallions were seen walking toward their locker room at halftime, and a group of Kings fans was giving them the business. Ross clearly took offense to something that was said and lunged toward the group, ultimately flipping someone's drink before he was pushed away by a teammate.
But that wasn't the end of it, as the fracas continued with at least one more drink being thrown, this time by a fan in Ross' direction, and he again lunged forward but was held back and basically forced to the locker room.

So, that was fun.
In the end, Ross got the last laugh. With Birmingham trailing 13-9 with just under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the 26-year-old caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from former third-round pick Matt Corral, with his score ultimately deciding the final score, as the Stallions took a 15-13 victory. And he certainly made sure to let the Louisville faithful know about it, sending several gestures in their direction after the play.

Ross ended his night with two grabs for 30 yards, which is more than half the yardage total he had in Kansas City, as his Chiefs career consisted of six catches for 53 yards in a dozen regular-season games.
