When it comes to members of the Kansas City Chiefs players who were a part of all three Super Bowl wins, Derrick Nnadi is someone who typically gets forgotten about. The third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Florida State started 11 games as a rookie and went on to start double-digit games in six of his seven seasons with the Chiefs.

All good things come to an end though and Nnadi has officially agreed to terms on a deal with the New York Jets. It will be weird to see Nnadi with a different team in 2024 but the former third-rounder moved into more of a reserve role during his last season in Kansas City. If there are better opportunities for Nnadi elsewhere, then good for him for moving on.

Chiefs lose Derrick Nnadi to the Jets

The Chiefs have spent money this offseason, re-signing Nick Bolton, franchise tagging Trey Smith, and bringing in Jaylon Moore to protect Patrick Mahomes' blindside. While Nnadi likely would have been a "cheaper" re-signing for the front office, it makes sense that they were okay with letting him test the waters elsewhere.

This isn't the first time the Jets have signed someone away from Kansas City with the last notable one being Mecole Hardman joining them in 2023. Halfway through the season, he was back in Kansas City and helped the Chiefs win a second straight Super Bowl title.

Let's hope for Nnadi's sake that his Jets stint goes better than Hardman's did.
