The Kansas City Chiefs reigned victorious in the divisional round once again after defeating the Houston Texans by a score of 23 to 14. As Chiefs fans have grown accustomed to, however, the talking points from this game won't be the team winning to advance to its seventh straight AFC title game.

No, the talking points will be how the refs made some questionable calls that aided the Chiefs. One such call came in the first half when Patrick Mahomes was sacked on third down by Will Anderson Jr. A flag was thrown on Anderson for roughing the passer and rather than punting the ball away, Kansas City got a fresh set of downs and immediately worked the ball into the red zone. They'd get a field goal on that possession.

The other major call people will be talking about around the water cooler is from the end of the third quarter. Mahomes was scrambling and trying to make something out of nothing when Henry To'oTo'o was flagged for unnecessary roughness on the Chiefs quarterback. Mahomes looked to have slid late on that play and color commentator Troy Aikman was furious with the call.

Kansas City went on to score a touchdown on that drive, which didn't help those who think the officials rig games for the Chiefs. For those who fall into that camp, these two calls "gifted" the Chiefs 10 points.

Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans spoke about the controversial calls following the game and threw a little bit of shade Kansas City's way. "We knew going into this game that it was us versus everybody," Ryans said.

By now, Chiefs fans are no stranger to their favorite team being accused of getting all of the calls. This used to be the case for the New England Patriots during their dynastic runs and now it's happening to the Chiefs (or at least that's what everyone says).

Ryans' comments insinuate that his team felt they'd be on the wrong side of the calls and while it did turn out that way, maybe his team should have taken advantage of the times when they received favorable calls. Dalton Schultz's catch late in the game could have easily been ruled as incomplete but the call stood. The Texans went on to have their field goal blocked.

If Ryans and the Texans knew that they'd be getting "robbed" by the officials, then they needed to make their big moments

Don't expect these accusations to lighten up, Chiefs fans. It comes with the territory of being back-to-back Super Bowl champions.
