The Kansas City Chiefs know their starting center is a gem. Creed Humphrey has been an absolute beast since the Chiefs spent a second-round pick on him in the 2021 NFL Draft, starting all 85 games of his career at center and never missing time with injury.

Well, Kansas City isn't the only place that recognizes how awesome Humphrey is. The Rolling Hills Zoo, located in Salina, Kansas, decided to name their newest baby rhino after the Chiefs' starting center.

The Chiefs social media team recently posted this news and included photos of Humphrey getting to meet his namesake. The pictures include Humphrey posing along the rhino and even showing the little rhino one of Humphrey's jerseys.

Creed Humphrey just inspired the most wholesome Chiefs moment

The zoo reportedly named their rhino after Humphrey due to his "strength, grit and Midwest roots", per KSN.

Humphrey, as you can imagine, is stoked about the news and spoke about the opportunity to meet his namesake in Salina.

“When I was approached with the idea of Rolling Hills Zoo naming a new rhino calf after me, it seemed to be such a unique and amazing opportunity,” Humphrey said. “With white rhinos being an endangered species, to be able to visit and interact with Creed the rhino was incredible.  I urge everyone to visit Rolling Hills Zoo because of their efforts in conservation and how interactive the entire zoo is.”

This is a really cool story and shows how big of a deal Creed Humphrey is not just to Kansas City but the surrounding areas. Now he's not only an All-Pro center and two-time Super Bowl champion but a baby rhino is named after him. What a life.
