Week 2 sees the Kansas City Chiefs trading defense for offense as the Indianapolis Colts come to town. Last Monday, the Denver Broncos hit the wall against a surprising Chiefs team that looked much faster on defense and grounded on offense. After that 31-10 victory over one of the NFL's top defenses, the Chiefs now hope to bottle up one of the league's more impressive offensive arrays.
Daniel Jones was just signed to a long-term deal along with wide receiver Alec Pierce, giving the Colts a new tandem to anchor the passing attack. Of course, Jonathan Taylor is the cornerstone as one of the league's most potent running backs. Can Indy rebound from a frustrating opener against the Baltimore Ravens? Can K.C. extend the win streak to two games?

Patrick Allen
The Chiefs answered plenty of questions against Denver. Two remain: 1.) Can the receivers get open, and 2.) Can Patrick Mahomes regain his passing form? K.C.'s passing game was putrid against a supposedly elite Broncos defense. The Colts, meanwhile, surrendered over 500 yards to Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. I expect the Chiefs to get right through the air Sunday night. Chiefs 34, Colts 24
Price Carter
I expect the Colts game to look quite a bit like the Broncos game in several ways. The Colts have a good secondary and play lots of man coverage as well. The Chiefs' passing game likely won't have lots of rhythm, but the run game should have success with a less talented defensive line. Colts also have a limited QB coming off of off-season surgery. So I expect the defense to have success. Chiefs 27, Colts 17

KC picks up where they left off on Monday night with a thorough display of offensive firepower against the Colts. Expect Mahomes and the passing game to take a step forward in this one. Chiefs 35, Colts 17

The Colts' offensive firepower will keep the Chiefs' defense from looking as dominant as it did a week ago, but Patrick Mahomes should look a lot better picking apart this Indy secondary. Chiefs 25, Colts 20

Kenneth Walker and the run game were standouts in Week 1, but this week against the Colts, the passing game will take center stage. Patrick Mahomes will have 3 passing touchdowns, with 2 of them going to Xavier Worthy. Chiefs 27, Colts 21

The Colts are coming off a beating from the Ravens and will likely be motivated to have a better showing. The Chiefs should win if they play defense and run the ball as they did vs Denver, but I'm expecting a closer game. Chiefs 27, Colts 20

The Colts defense gave up plenty of explosives to the Ravens in Week 1. And the running game led by Derrick Henry was rarely slowed down throughout the day. That leads me to think Kansas City can put up 30+ points yet again. The Chiefs are going to get Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice going a bit more in this one, as well as the offense continuing a nice rebound from last season. Chiefs 33, Colts 20

The Chiefs' defense didn’t get a chance to test their run-stopping ability very much against Denver and that’s definitely going to change going against Jonathon Taylor. The Colts have given Mahomes and Andy Reid fits in the past, usually getting the upper hand late in the game, and this time will likely be no different for the first 3.5 quarters. But with K9, Emmett and Mahomes’ ability to run the ball at will, now I believe they’ll be able to control the clock much better. Chiefs win in the fourth quarter through the ground and with their DL improving even more than they did last week. Chiefs 29, Colts 21

The offense came out of the gate swinging in the run game. L'Jarius Sneed has brought an air of ferocity back to the defense, and Andy Reid isn't self-sabotaging yet. With the Chiefs being all the way back, I see no way that a cross-eyed quarterback like Daniel Jones can derail this early-season Super Bowl-bound wagon. Chiefs 29, Colts 17
