Everything about the Kansas City Chiefs' matchup against the L.A. Chargers is tilted in their favor. They're playing at home. They're coming off a week of rest. They've won every game so far this season, while playing an opponent still searching for its first win after five weeks. Even injury-wise, the Chiefs are incredibly healthy when compared to the Chargers. Everything, as we said, tilts their way.

But games must be played, and the phrase "any given Sunday" exists for this very reason. Division rivals always provide a tougher-than-expected out, even when the mismatch looks clear on paper. And at this point, the level of desperation in SoCal might spark something for the Bolts. What should we expect? Here are our predictions for Week 6's game between the Chargers and the Chiefs.

Christian Ainsworth

In a game where the box score doesn't reflect the actual game, the Chiefs dominate the Chargers, keeping a lead early in the first quarter. Chiefs 27, Chargers 20

Matt Chabot

Justin Herbert is sacked more than five times. Chiefs 28, Chargers 17

Matt Conner

Feels weird to not take the Chargers seriously as a team after just over one month of play, but the bottom has fallen out so quickly. Hard to imagine these Chiefs allowing themselves to be the opponent that gives Jim Harbaugh some hope. Chiefs 26, Chargers 13

Bransen Gibson

I'm surprisingly nervous heading into this one. Even though the Chiefs and Chargers have opposite records, I'm wary of a team that beat Kansas City twice last year and feels like it's due to win eventually. I still think the Chiefs will win, but this has trap game written all over it. Chiefs 27, Chargers 24

Lyle Graversen

The Chiefs are one of the NFL's last undefeated teams, and the Chargers are a winless dumpster fire. So naturally, that means this game will be WAY closer than it should be. The Chiefs pull off the win, but scare all their fans in the process. Chiefs 24, Chargers 23

Braden Holecek

The Chargers are not just bad. They are banged up. Stop us if you have heard that before. Kansas City needs to get the pass rush going. They will have a prime opportunity to do so against an inexperienced Bolts' blocking unit. I do not think the Chiefs will allow the Chargers to hang around late, coming out of the bye week with an efficient and physical attack, wearing down Los Angeles. Chiefs 31, Chargers 17

Scott Loring

The Chargers are dead in the water. At this point, they might not even want to fight for Coach Harbaugh’s job. The Chiefs should be in position to dominate; the problem is, they’re not the type of team to beat their opponent by double digits. Los Angeles will try to lose big, but the Chiefs will keep this one close. Emmett Johnson eclipses 100 yards for the first time. Chiefs 23, Chargers 16

Shawn O'Brate

This week is really going to test which world we live in: the one where Andy Reid can’t miss after a bye, or the one where KC can’t put a team away no matter how bad they are. Chargers are basically a traveling hospital bed, but the Chiefs know that and are prepared for all sorts of new faces. They’ll eventually get things clicking on the ground and on defense (please get just one sack, guys). Chiefs eventually look like the Chiefs of old. Chiefs 31, Chargers 21

Charles Robinson

This is a classic “overthinking” game. The bottom line is this: the Chargers are in disarray, and the Chiefs haven’t lost. Chiefs 31, Chargers 17

Stacy Smith

The Kansas Chiefs are back at home and 8.5-point favorites over the hapless Los Angeles Chargers. The Chiefs' injury situation makes this game more interesting than it should be. Kenneth Walker gets back to being the league's best back this season, Patrick Mahomes has a two-TD day, and the Chiefs win. Chiefs 24, Chargers 17

Hunter Stanton

The Chargers are in a major slump, and the Chiefs are fresh coming off a bye; I see the Chiefs improving to 5-0. Chiefs 31, Chargers 17

Lucas Strozinsky

If the Chiefs lose this game, there should be an investigation so massive that aliens land just to assist the authorities on Earth. Chiefs 34, Chargers 19
