Whoever is in charge of putting together the Kansas City Chiefs injury reports is likely someone who has been working with the organization for a long time. They're also likely someone with whom we'd get along just fine.
As the Chiefs prepare to host the Washington Commanders in Week 8 on Monday Night Football, a familiar face has popped up on the visitors' side. And it's clear that someone still holds a grudge.
Former Denver Broncos pass rusher Von Miller is not only somehow still in the league, but he's still wreaking havoc in the pocket with 4 sacks in 7 games for Washington. And while Kansas City has dominated the AFC West for most of the last decade, Miller belongs to the era when Denver tormented the Chiefs on a yearly basis.
Someone on the Chiefs couldn't help themselves from an obvious joke on this week's injury report for the visiting team.
Which is why this next part is so good.
As Miller comes back around for yet another visit to Arrowhead Stadium, someone on the Chiefs’ staff appears to have taken a subtle (and very clever) shot on the official injury report.
A Chiefs fan noticed it first and sent it around social media. Instead of listing Von Miller as an OLB (outside linebacker), the Chiefs have him listed as OLD.
I don't usually laugh at injury reports but c'mon!! 😂 https://t.co/8Z8zwbdSn3 pic.twitter.com/NxUrVfLRAS

As it turns out, the listing hasn't been changed. In this era of fake news or disinformation, it's hard to tell what's legitimate at times, but this was not only correct, but the listing was still there a day later.
It's a hilarious jab, and we're pretty sure the 36-year-old pass rusher would chuckle as well. It's so subtle that it might have gone unnoticed all along, but there's also no way to pass this as a simple mistake—maybe a Freudian slip? It doesn't matter. It's just funny.
Miller, however, is used to laughing at the Chiefs. He has 16 career sacks against Kansas City alone, and lest you think those all came early in his career, he has 4 sacks in his last 4 games against the Chiefs, mostly while playing for the Buffalo Bills. Last year, he brought down Mahomes once in a 30-21 win for the Bills that gave K.C. its first loss of the season.
“OLD” or not, Miller has made a career out of reminding the Chiefs he’s still dangerous. Now he's hoping to have the last laugh as Monday night rolls around, even if he needs more rest than he did before.
