The Kansas City Chiefs head to Cleveland in Week 15 to take on the Browns as 5.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel's early odds. Despite being the visiting team, the Chiefs' status as the AFC's perennial powerhouse solidifies their edge over the Browns, especially as they've faltered in 2024.
That's not to say the Chiefs aren't going to be facing a challenge in Week 15. The Browns' defense is still among the NFL's better units despite the record, and Myles Garrett presents a real issue for the Chiefs up front. However, the unit overall can be rather mercurial and gave up over 40 points to the Denver Broncos in Week 13.
The Chiefs and the Browns are scheduled for a rare early Sunday game in Week 15.
The Chiefs would be wise not to overlook any team at this juncture, however. The Browns already upset the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers in two of their last six games. Divisional opponents and rivals can be weird like that, but the Chiefs are going to get every team's best effort and the Browns will be ready to add a credible win toward season's end to use as momentum into the offseason.
As for the Chiefs, the game against the Browns begins a streak of 3 games in 11 days, including a Christmas Day showdown against the Steelers. Starting well would go a long way toward a run of success through this part of the stretch run. In fact, if the Chiefs can get an early lead and even be able to manage the snaps of veteran players, that would help keep things fresh during this lean time. Unfortunately the physical nature of the Browns will likely make things quite tough on K.C. for four quarters.
The Chiefs are scheduled to play the BRowns at Huntington Bank Field on December 15 at 12:00 p.m. C.T.
