The Kansas City Chiefs have already been forced to try to figure things out on the fly in terms of fit and personnel in the secondary due to injuries this season. Now they might have to adjust some more after watching cornerback Joshua Williams leave with an injury in the fourth quarter on Sunday night.

Williams is officially questionable to return after being taken back to the locker room.

The Chiefs are hosting the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14 on Sunday Night Football with the hopes of clinching the AFC West while facing their division rivals. While in the throes of a tight game, however, the Chiefs have lost one of their top corners, leaving them thin defensively going forward.

The Chiefs might be down another cornerback after seeing Joshua Williams leave the game.

Williams left the game in the fourth quarter with what looked like a head injury. From there, he headed to the Chiefs' sidelines and was seen by trainers in the blue medical tent.

If Williams is in the team's concussion protocol, the Chiefs will have to bring in even less experienced players to play bigger roles after already asking plenty of younger guys on the depth chart in the wake of Jaylen Watson's season-ending injury.

If Williams is unable to go, Nazeeh Johnson is likely to step up and take over any starting reps on the boundary there. Christian Roland-Wallace is also someone who could take on a heavier defensive load. Keith Taylor is also on the active roster.

Williams has 13 total tackles and 1 pass deflection for the Chiefs so far this season as a rotational corner.
