Three former Kansas City Chiefs players whose careers helped shape different eras of the franchise recently came together for something bigger than football.

Dante Hall, J.C. Pearson, and Deron Cherry have joined forces with the National Football League Alumni Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It's part of the #GearUpAgainstCancer campaign, an initiative aimed at raising awareness around lung cancer prevention and education, especially in underserved communities.

That mission is what brought the trio onto the Arrowhead Addict podcast, where our friend Sterling Holmes sat down with the former Chiefs standouts to discuss how they’re using their platforms as athletes to push this important public health message. From there, the conversation naturally drifted down memory lane with some meaningful Chiefs anecdotes and a look at today's team through their lens of experience.

Cherry, one of the most decorated defenders in franchise history, reflected on his unlikely path from college punter to All-Pro safety. Hall reflected on the return game that earned him the nickname “The Human Joystick,” including his thoughts on modern kickoff rules. Pearson offered insight into the underappreciated difficulty of playing cornerback, particularly in the slot.

The trio also discussed what went wrong for K.C. during the 2025 season and the problems with the current ground game. They also take on the most hated rival from the AFC West. Check out the full interview below (or click here).
