Chiefs legend Chad Henne still lives rent free in Jarvis Landry's head

Henne has an enemy and he probably doesn't even know it.

In early 2021, the Kansas City Chiefs were fighting hard to defend their defending Super Bowl status and were on the verge of not even getting back to the big game. It looked bleak against the Browns in the divisional round, especially once Patrick Mahomes went down with an injury but... Fear not, Chad Henne came into the game and saved the day.

It's something that still agitates former Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry to this day. The former NFL veteran recently spoke about that playoff game on the 4th And South Podcast he does with Leonard Fournette and said that he has beef with Henne because of what he did against the Browns in that playoff game.

"Man, I got beef with this guy (Chad Henne)," Landry said. "The more you talk about and try to build him up in my head, I'm getting hot. Listen, because I got beef with this man... I don't think you understand, bro. That year, Kansas City ended up playing Buffalo and beating Buffalo to go to the Super Bowl... But that same, that same year we had beat Buffalo, like trashed 'em. So, in our minds, well, in my mind, now that I look back at it, Chad Henne really like, the football guy really like crushed my dreams, bro... He crushed my dreams, man. He crushed my dreams. This man, cold Chad Henne came off the bench, bro, like, and crushed my dreams, man... He crushed my dreams though. I ain't gonna lie... I'm still a little salty about that, bro."

Jarvis Landry can’t shake painful Chad Henne moment vs Chiefs

For those who don't fully remember (but how could you not?), the Chiefs were up 22-10 over the Browns heading into the fourth quarter when Mahomes was injured. He had to come out of the game and in came the now legendary Chad Henne, who eventually led the Chiefs on the game-sealing drive to run out the clock. That was huge because Cleveland had scored a touchdown on its previous drive, making it a much tighter ball game.

Momentum was on the Browns' side so when Henne and the Chiefs offense got the ball back with a little over four minutes to go, the mission was clear -- Bleed the clock as much as possible. The big moments on that drive was Henne scrambling 13 yards to set up a crucial 4th-and-short and then connecting on a quick pass to Tyreek Hill for the first down on the next play to ice the game.

Henne's performance was so admirable that Chiefs fans have given him the nickname "Hennething is Possible" because he proved that anything was indeed possible when he was on the field. While the Chiefs didn't go on to win the Super Bowl that year, Henne at least played a big role in getting them back to the big game by stepping it up in that situation and making the necessary plays.

I'm sure Landry doesn't actually have beef with Henne and is mostly being funny here but it is quite funny to picture him randomly sitting at home thinking about how much he hates Henne. He's probably not the only Browns player that randomly thinks about Henne and what he did in that game either and who can blame them? It was a pretty crazy moment and Browns fans and the players on that team were on the wrong end of it.

Chiefs fans will always appreciate Henne for what he did in that divisional round game though and it's funny to see it still bothers Browns players and fans years later. Hennething is possible.
