Chiefs fans would celebrate if this Brock Bowers twist happens

Let's hope the Raiders mess this up somehow.

While the Las Vegas Raiders appear to be a few years away from making any serious noise, the building blocks are slowly but surely coming into place for them. That's not so much fun for Kansas City Chiefs fans, who have enjoyed watching the Raiders flounder for the better part of the last two decades.

One player that has Raiders fans excited about the future is their 2024 first-round pick Brock Bowers, a talented tight end out of Georgia who was third in the league in receiving yards as a rookie. Chiefs fans are certainly hoping that Bowers doesn't pan out, or that if he does, he does so with a different team, one that's not in the AFC West.

Mike Florio dropped an interesting comment on Bowers on Pro Football Talk, bringing up how maybe Bowers follows in Maxx Crosby's footsteps of wanting out of the Raiders' organization. It's something that will have Chiefs fans' ears perking up.

"Maxx Crosby wanting out of town was well documented. I think it was just a matter of time before Brock Bowers was going to start making noise to get me the hell out of here," Florio said. "If they didn't change coaches, they could have had Brock Bowers trying to get out of Las Vegas along with Maxx Crosby."

Chiefs fans would love it if Mike Florio's Brock Bowers prediction came true

The Raiders nabbed Bowers with the 13th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and immediately reaped the benefits of that. As mentioned above, he finished third in receiving yards that year, tallying just under 1,200 yards and found the end zone five times.

Year 2 didn't go according to plan for Bowers, as he missed five games due to injury and ended up with just 680 yards. That's not bad for a second-year tight end but after the rookie campaign he had, it was looked at as a disappointing season for Bowers. He did, however, score seven touchdowns during his sophomore year in the pros.

Chiefs fans would love to see Bowers eventually grow tired of the Raiders' dysfunction and ask for a trade but no one other than Florio has commented on him potentially wanting out of Vegas. Sure, Crosby's issues with the franchise were well-known but Crosby is a pretty vocal guy whereas Bowers is more quiet and reserved. It's doubtful that he'd already be thinking about a trade out when things are slowly starting to turn for the silver and black.

It's always fun to see the Raiders mess things up but Florio's comments here just seem to be his own personal opinion and not based on anything else. Chiefs fans can still dream of a Bowers-less division though.
