Justin Reid has officially departed the Kansas City Chiefs and will be playing for the New Orleans Saints in 2025. If this all sounds familiar -- a safety playing in Kansas City for three years before returning home to Louisiana to sign with the Saints -- it's because Tyrann Mathieu did all of this not all that long ago.

Reid's departure will hurt the Chiefs secondary but Super Bowl contenders have to deal with losing key players all the time. Reid saw an opportunity that fit what he wanted in New Orleans and he decided to head south for the next few years.

The Saints announced his signing on social media on Wednesday and... Let's just say it could have gone better for them. While the post, on paper, looks fine with the first slide being a "Welcome to the Saints" type of thing, it's the second slide where things get hairy.

While the Saints were clearly trying to go for a "Hey look, here's a shot of our new guy in action!" the problem is that it wasn't Justin Reid in the picture they included. No, the Saints accidentally included a picture of Trent McDuffie on the second slide of their "Welcome to New Orleans" post for Reid. Ooooof.

At first it was hard to notice considering that players are hard to differentiate when they have their helmets on, but McDuffie wears 22 while Reid wore 20. The player in the original photo was wearing 22, so it was definitely McDuffie, who is very much staying in Kansas City and not headed to New Orleans.

These sort of things happen and it's worth noting that the Saints social media team did remove that post and replaced it with the correct one that had an image of Reid on the second slide. That being said, it's hard not to get a chuckle out of it. Fortunately for Chiefs fans, McDuffie is staying put.
