The Kansas City Chiefs traded for WR1 DeAndre Hopkins before their Week 8 meeting with the Raiders but it wasn't until their Week 9 match-up against the Buccaneers that we got to see how lethal D-Hop can truly be in this offense. Hopkins snagged eight catches for 86 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 10.8 yards per catch in his second-ever Chiefs game and fans are loving it.

Hopkins clearly is having a good time as well and sees big things for him and his new quarterback Patrick Mahomes. On Tuesday afternoon, Hopkins tweeted a picture of Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss hugging future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady when the two played for the New England Patriots.

This, of course, peaked the interest of Chiefs fans wondering what Hopkins could be getting at here. Is he saying that he and Mahomes are going to be the next Brady-Moss? If so, that's a lot of fun to think about for Chiefs fans, especially with how bad their wide receivers have been in recent years.

DeAndre Hopkins has big expectations for Mahomes and Chiefs

The Chiefs added Hopkins after losing Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice to season-ending injuries. Not having good wide receivers didn't stop them from winning the Super Bowl a season ago but it was still awesome to see Brett Veach put the pedal to the medal and bring in one of the best possible names on the trade block to help out Mahomes.

While the first game didn't see big results for Hopkins, the second game is probably more of what we can expect from the former Texans, Cardinals, and Titans wideout. He caught a ball that no other Chiefs receivers would and set the team up in a goal-to-go situation where, who else but Hopkins, scored the touchdown. He found the end zone twice in his first game at Arrowhead as a member of the hometown Chiefs.

Obviously we have a long way to go before crowning Mahomes and Hopkins the next Brady-Moss. Those two played together in New England for three and a half years and Hopkins has played just two games with Mahomes. It's going to take more than just two games for us to be able to compare these two duos.

At the end of the day, Chiefs fans don't care if Mahomes and Hopkins cement themselves as the greatest QB-WR duo ever. If Hopkins can help this team three-peat, that is absolutely going to be a victory for Chiefs fans.
