The NFL has a tradition in the draft where, on the first night, Roger Goodell reads every team's selection. On Day 2, the draft picks are announced by a former player from whichever team is announcing the selection.
For example, most recently Jamaal Charles had the honors of announcing the Kansas City Chiefs' second-round selection. It's a fun tradition that the NFL has and it's always fun to see who gets the call to be the Chiefs' representative for the second day.
Chiefs Kingdom will especially love this year's representative, as it's long-time return specialist Dante Hall who will have the honors. The Chiefs have three selections on the second night of the draft (at least as of this writing), meaning Hall will get plenty of time up on the stage.
Dante Hall will announce Chiefs' Day 2 selections in 2025 NFL Draft
Hall was a fifth-round pick by Kansas City out of Texas A&M in the 2000 NFL Draft and spent seven seasons of his nine-year NFL career with the Chiefs. He made the Hall of Fame All-2000s Team as a return specialist and was given the nickname "The Human Joystick" because he was practically a cheat code whenever he was returning kicks or punts.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Hall caught 145 passes for 1,615 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns with the Chiefs. Even more impressive, he had 11 returns for a touchdown (both as a kick and punt returner) during his tenure in K.C. as the premiere specialist of his generation.
Hall finished his NFL career by spending two years with the St. Louis Rams before calling it a career. He's still considered to be one of the best special teams players in Chiefs history and it'll be cool to see him get to have this moment during a time when the Chiefs are as good as they are.
