Kansas City Chiefs fans are fortunate to have Patrick Mahomes as their franchise quarterback. Since he joined the Chiefs as the 10th overall pick in 2017, the Chiefs have become Super Bowl contenders each and every year and have three titles as a result.
On the other side of the coin, the Buffalo Bills also have a franchise quarterback in Josh Allen but he has yet to have the same amount of success that Mahomes has experienced. Allen is still talented and always seems to beat Mahomes and the Chiefs during the regular season but hasn't been able to even sniff a Super Bowl appearance during his career.
A Chiefs fan on Reddit was thrilled to remind everyone of this fact, especially after Allen celebrated his 30th birthday on May 21st. The post was titled "Happy Birthday Josh lol" with a picture of Mahomes at the top with a list of his accomplishments by the time he turned 30 (which was in September 2025) and a picture of Allen at the bottom with a list of what he's managed to accomplish up to his 30th birthday.
As you can imagine, the list skews heavily in Mahomes' favor, as it lists his three Super Bowl titles, five AFC Championship victories, three Super Bowl MVP awards, and two MVP awards. Allen's list of accomplishments, meanwhile, only gives him a net positive in the MVP award category, as he was crowned the league MVP in 2024.
Chiefs fans continue to enjoy dunking on Josh Allen
The fact of the matter is that both quarterbacks are clearly talented but Mahomes has been much more successful. He's been to five Super Bowls since entering the league in 2017 and, until this past season, every year he was the starter, Kansas City reached the AFC Championship Game.
Allen, on the other hand, has only been to the AFC title game twice and lost both times. Even when it felt like the Bills were destined to reach the Super Bowl, Allen's guys came up just short. He does have the 2024 MVP to put in his trophy case at least but even then, there's controversy, as many feel that Lamar Jackson was more deserving of that year's award. But, hey, Allen won it fair and square and we won't take that away from him.
Winning Super Bowls is obviously a ton of fun but knowing that one of the Chiefs' biggest rivals hasn't experienced that same level of success is even more fun. Hopefully, it continues.
