The Kansas City Chiefs are scoping out the talent along the defensive line shortly before the 2025 NFL Draft. The latest pre-draft visit featured a closer look at Georgia's Warren Brinson.
The Chiefs are among several NFL teams requesting to spend some time with Brinson in the days before the draft officially begins on April 24. The Vikings, Packers, Saints, 49ers, and Panthers are just some of the teams eyeing Brinson's pro potential.
Brinson brings a big frame to the NFL as a 6'5, 315 lb. lineman. He's been a rotational player up front for the Bulldogs on a loaded defensive line playing elite competition year after year. He played in 59 total games in his collegiate career and made 4 starts this year in 12 games, totaling 20 tackles and 2 sacks.
It's hard to tell where Brinson might be selected, since Day 3 of the draft comes down to a team's specific schemes and needs. Some franchises might hope that Brinson is available as an undrafted free agent, while others might have Brinson as a late-round grab.
As for his potential fit with the Chiefs, the Chiefs have a need for more performers inside after losing Tershawn Wharton and Derrick Nnadi in free agency to the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets, respectively. The team did add Jerry Tillery in FA and re-signed Mike Pennel, but there's plenty of room here for younger competitors to fill out the depth chart.
