The Kansas City Chiefs continue to have issues with Rashee Rice and, as a result, they're going to be looped in as candidates for any big-name wide receiver out there on the trade market. Arguably the biggest is A.J. Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles, who clearly is done in the City of Brotherly Love.

It's felt like a sure-thing for awhile now that Brown would end up with the Patriots, reuniting with his former head coach Mike Vrabel from their Tennessee days. That's apparently hit a snag, however, opening the door for another team to potentially swoop in and trade for the former Ole Miss product.

James Palmer of Bleacher Report recently brought up Kansas City as a potential landing spot and cited Rice's behaviorial issues as a reason why.

"Rashee Rice is having a lot of issues off the field. Doesn't look like the Kansas City Chiefs can trust him. Does [Eagles GM Howie Roseman] pick up the phone and call Brett Veach?"

It's no secret that the Chiefs could use an upgrade at wide receiver. They probably shouldn't have put as much stock into Rice being available for them as they did but they did and now they have to live with those consequences. Trading for Brown would give them a solid wide receiver option but he does have a tendency to be a diva. Do the Chiefs want to add that kind of player to their roster?

If the Chiefs were to trade for Brown, Rice would likely become expendable, which wouldn't be a bad thing considering the headache he's been since being drafted. The Chiefs also have Tyquan Thornton and Xavier Worthy as starting wide receiver options with Thornton being the one move they made at the position in free agency. They also drafted Cyrus Allen in the fifth round but he likely won't be starting games for them.

Brown is a great receiver, there's no doubt about that. Chiefs fans saw it firsthand in two Super Bowls and an AFC Championship (when he was with the Titans). He'd give Patrick Mahomes an explosive weapon to throw to and considering that Mahomes is returning from a major injury, that wouldn't be a bad thing to have.

That being said, Brown is a bit of a diva and the Chiefs need a bounce back season after posting a losing record for the first time of the Andy Reid era. Is bringing in a dramatic player a good idea? What would it take to land the Eagles star? These are questions that Brett Veach will need to ask himself as he ponders a potential A.J. Brown trade.
