The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off their first loss of the season in a disastrous performance against the Seahawks this weekend. The team's struggles and weak points were put on full display, and some of the Chiefs' offseason needs have become significantly clearer.

The Chiefs hold 10 picks in this year's class, and while they'll likely make moves either at the deadline or on draft day, late April will be a key weekend for Brett Veach and Co. The Chiefs will have a chance to reload their young core and maintain their success through the rest of the decade. So today, I previewed some of the players Kansas City may target on draft weekend.

Round 1 - Elijah Paige, OT, USC

My second-highest-graded tackle in this year's class, Paige has been a sleeper whose stock will rise in the coming months. As a tackle prospect, Paige has the ideal size, and he's shown his movement skills all year at USC. Many scouts have Paige flagged because of a major, season-ending injury in 2025. But since his return, Paige has been one of the nation's best tackles and could be a top pick for Kansas City.

Round 2 - Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, LB, Notre Dame

Kansas City rolls the dice on a player with an injury history with its second-round pick, but this time on the other side of the ball. KVA is one of the nation's most talented linebacker prospects. But with season-ending ACL tears in his left knee in both 2024 and 2025, there are concerns about his ability to stay on the field. If the medicals check out, KVA should be one of the highest-graded LBs on the Chiefs' board.

Round 3 - Junior Sherril, WR, Vanderbilt

Coming out of high school, Sherril was a three-star recruit from Nashville, and he elected to play for his hometown team, Vanderbilt. Over the last four years, Sherril has improved consistently and become one of the nation's best pass catchers. Sherril has become the Vandy offense's most reliable target and one of the SEC's best. He'll be a key part of the Chiefs' WR room in 2027 and beyond.

Round 3 (Rams pick via McDuffie trade) - Faletau Satuala, S, BYU

Throughout his career, Andy Reid has maintained close ties to BYU football. With the last Day 2 pick, Reid taps into that network again as Kansas City looks to add another talented safety to its secondary. Satuala is a gifted athlete who brings an excellent frame and downhill aggressiveness. Spagnuolo will love what Satuala brings to the table, and he should boost the back end of the Chiefs' defense.

Round 4 - Christian Bentancur, TE, Clemson

The Chiefs have a rich history of talented tight ends, including Tony Gonzalez and Travis Kelce, who will forever be etched in the team's history. With Kelce's all-but-inevitable retirement this offseason, tight end could be a big need for the Chiefs. If Kansas City keeps Noah Gray, someone like Bentancur could be a good fit in the offense.

Round 4 (Jaylen Watson comp pick) - CJ Fite, IDL, Arizona State

Defensive tackle is becoming a much bigger need as the year goes on, especially given the heft of Chris Jones' contract. Kansas City could free up a lot of money by letting go of its superstar defensive tackle. Even if it doesn't, Fite is a compact, strong defensive tackle prospect who would bring a lot of value to the Kansas City defense.

Round 5 - Daniel Harris, CB, Cal

Drafting a super-athletic, experienced corner from Cal worked out well for the Chiefs in 2025 when they took Nohl Williams in the third round. Now, Kansas City hopes it can repeat that success with Daniel Harris. The Chiefs have had success with late-round corners and will likely add another this offseason.

Round 6 - Isaiah Satenga III, WR, Oklahoma

The Chiefs love explosive, undersized, and elusive receivers who can create separation and make plays with the ball. Satenga fits the bill and also brings value as a returner, where he's been incredibly successful. The Chiefs would love Satenga as an offensive depth piece who can rotate into the slot and contribute on special teams.

Round 7 (Charles Omenihu comp pick) - Caden Kitler, IOL, Arkansas

Offensive line depth is hard to come by in the NFL, so taking a shot late in the draft can be valuable. Kitler has experience at both center and guard, and the Chiefs will hope he can serve as interior depth early in his career.

Round 7 (Hollywood Brown comp pick) - Koen Entringer, S, Louisville

The Chiefs take another shot on a safety as they look to add depth to their secondary. Entringer was a valuable player for Iowa in 2025 and has become a key member of the Louisville defense. He is a great athlete who will immediately contribute on special teams and can provide depth on defense.
