Let's look at the players who are in and out for the Buccaneers vs Chiefs in Week 9.

The Kansas City Chiefs are ready to host yet another primetime affair in the 2024 regular season schedule—their second showing on Monday Night Football—with a game against the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The game comes at an interesting moment for the Chiefs, a team that's been able to win despite a myriad of major injuries, especially on the offensive side. They come into the game with an unbeaten record at 7-0 and hope to close out the first "half" of their schedule by staying undefeated.

The Bucs are 4-4 and need to keep pace with the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South but are dealing with numerous health concerns of their own. The primary losses are at wide receiver for both teams, which should limit the offensive output on Monday, yet both teams have retained an impressive amount of firepower despite the losses piling up.

For the Bucs, Chris Godwin and Mike Evans will be missing the affair, while the Chiefs will be without JuJu Smith-Schuster, Hollywood Brown, Rashee Rice, and running back Isiah Pacheco. Still, both teams feature great quarterback play in Patrick Mahomes, who needs no introduction, and Baker Mayfield, who leads the NFL in touchdown passes through 8 weeks.

The inactive lists for both teams will be important to watch to see who is in and out for Week 9. Tampa Bay in particular had some game-time calls to make in terms of injuries, as several key players were designated as "questionable" coming into the game with injuries as well. Running back Bucky Irving is a key name to watch there as well as wideouts Sterling Shephard and Jalen McMillan.

For the Chiefs, several players have already been ruled out including Smith-Schuster, who is dealing with a hamstring for the last couple of weeks, and defensive end Mike Danna, who is dealing with a pectoral muscle issue. Cornerback Nazeeh Johnson suffered a concussion last week and was forced to leave the game against the Las Vegas Raiders and remains out for this week as well.
