Bills will be missing vital pass catcher against Chiefs in Week 11

The Buffalo Bills will find themselves more limited on offense than they want to be when the Chiefs visit Orchard Park.

Both the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs are going to missing key players when they match up for the single most anticipated game in Week 11 in the NFL. The good news is that there's still plenty of star and firepower left over for the contest to live up to its billing.

The Bills announced that tight end Dalton Kincaid has been designated as "out" for the team's game against the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon. Kincaid had been dealing with a knee injury for the past week and it's proving too much to be able to return so quickly.

The Bills watched Kincaid injure his knee early in the first quarter against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10. Kincaid attempted to return to play a couple of snaps but that didn't work out as hoped and he was removed once more for the rest of the game.

Given the Chiefs' defensive tendencies, most tight ends get a chance to feast more than normal against K.C. given their predilection for stuffing the run game and stopping big gains downfield. That can often leave intermediate parts of the field open and tight ends in favorable one-on-one situations that reward them with targets. That's why names like Isaiah Likely, Drew Sample, and Brock Bowers have all enjoyed facing the Chiefs this season.

Without Kincaid, Dawson Knox will shoulder a greater burden in the Bills' offense, but Buffalo does have other channels through which they can direct a healthy offense. Look no further than the backfield tandem of James Cook and Ray Davis for one example.

As NFL insider James Palmer reported earlier, wide receiver Amari Cooper is still on the fence about whether or not he will be able to play. He was the Bills' major trade from the Cleveland Browns.

Kincaid had 73 catches for 673 yards in 2023, his rookie campaign with the Bills in '23.
