The Kansas City Chiefs are entering Week 18 in an unfamiliar space: knowing this will be their final game of the season. The Chiefs, 6-10 with one game left, aren’t going to the postseason, and the franchise is ready to end this disastrous season. Kansas City must first play the Las Vegas Raiders, and while there really isn’t anything of significance on the line, head coach Andy Reid can accomplish a hilarious feat with a win.
Sunday is a road game for the Chiefs, taking place at the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium. Associated Press writer Josh Dubow pointed out that if the Chiefs win, Reid will have sole possession of first place for the coach with the most wins at Allegiant Stadium, including playoffs. Currently, the Kansas City head coach is tied with Antonio Pierce and Josh McDaniels at six wins.
It’s a big game for Andy Reid. If Chiefs beat #Raiders in Week 18, Reid will take sole possession of first place for most wins by a coach at Allegiant Stadium (playoffs included).

Weird Andy Reid stat underscores how bad the Raiders have been
This stat speaks to just how dominant the Chiefs have been, especially over the AFC West, and also how bad Las Vegas has been. Allegiant Stadium opened in 2020, and Kansas City has dominated there, while the Raiders have been cycling through coaches, trying to get things figured out. Las Vegas is already on coach number four since being in the stadium, and the story has remained the same: terrible football.
That’s on display once again this season, with the Raiders entering the final week of the season with a league-worst 2-14 record. Things have been so bad in Vegas that the franchise is being accused of openly tanking, and players are having to argue that they aren’t trying to lose games. Whether intentional or not, the Raiders will secure the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft with a loss to the Chiefs on Sunday, and there’s no reason to think that won’t happen.
Even though Kansas City is also having a horrendous year, and is down to its third quarterback, everyone assumes Andy Reid will be able to pull the team together for one more game, and become the outright winningest coach in Allegiant Stadium.
