The 2025 NFL Draft order is, of course, a work in progress. The bottom half of the order is still very much in flux with the NFL postseason yet to unfold. But for those fan bases whose teams aren't fortunate enough to be playing in January anymore, the draft order is not only set in stone at the top but it should serve as a primary source of discussion for the next four months.
The NFL had quite a weekend in its final bow when speaking of the NFL Draft order. That's because Jerod Mayo decided to conclude his lone season as the New England Patriots' head coach with a surprising win over the Buffalo Bills, which lowered them to No. 4 in the draft order—down three from the top spot.
Speaking of No. 1 overall, the Tennessee Titans followed through once again with another inconsistent day marked by poor production and lost to solidify their place at the bottom (or, in this case, the top). With the Patriots' win, Tennessee will now have the first pick in the draft.
The Chiefs lost only their second game of the season on Sunday but did so when playing so few starters in a clearly vanilla effort with only the goal of staying healthy in front of them. As the NFL playoffs get underway in the Wild Card round next weekend, the draft choices in the second half will begin to finalize themselves. For now it's all a guess based on current standings.
As for the rest of the AFC West, the Chiefs have to appreciate the fact that the Raiders still were not able to secure a pick near the top of the draft order. They're sitting outside of the top five due to a couple of late-season wins. Perhaps Antonio Pierce wanted a bit of momentum heading into the offseason, but a team so bereft of blue-chip talent at key positions could have used an elite pick.
Here's a look at the draft order as it stands.
