The Kansas City Chiefs are clearly ready to rack up some frequent flyer miles with the report that they’ll be starring in Germany in consecutive seasons.

As the National Football League’s schedule reveal creeps closer and closer, we’re likely going to hear more and more leaks about the forthcoming regular season slate until most of it is known well beforehand. However, the latest rumor that has surfaced is a report from Pro Football Talk that has some significant information for the schedule for next year.

The Kansas City Chiefs will reportedly play in Germany in consecutive seasons—both in 2023, as we already knew, and in 2024, which is a total surprise. Per Mike Florio of PFT, the Chiefs are set to host the Bears sometime in November this season while they would be the “road” team for a contest in Munich against the Carolina Panthers.

The Chiefs are one of four teams that have been awarded Germany as a marketing territory which is why there’s a concentration on the region on the part of the Chiefs. The Chiefs also awarded Mexico and it stands to reason a future game will also be played there.

The Chiefs will play the Bears in Frankfurt this fall, but Florio says the next site will be in Munich. Those were the two official cities selected to host NFL games, and Munich has already hosted last year’s exhibition between Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Seattle Seahawks.
