The Kansas City Chiefs are among several teams who have shown an interest in Peter Afful Jr., a wide receiver out of Washburn, before the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Kansas City Chiefs are one of several teams who are showing sincere interest in a small-school wide receiver before the 2023 NFL Draft as they scout their day three options—those prospects who will fall toward the end of the draft or even end up as rookie free agents.

Peter Afful Jr., a wideout from Wasburn, has drawn looks from the Chiefs who brought him in for a workout.

Last year for the Ichabods, Afful had 34 catches for 660 yards and 8 touchdowns. He had an equal number of touchdowns the previous season with 560 yards on only 29 catches in 2021. He also comes with a bit of return experience on kickoffs.

For the Chiefs, Afful came and took part in the team’s local day along with several other pro hopefuls from the region. This came after Afful put up a clinic at Kansas by taking part in their pro day.

Among the other teams interested in Afful so far this pre-draft season are the Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints, and Denver Broncos, per Tanner Phifer.
