Siaki Ika, Baylor

Projected Round: 3

Defensive Fit: Medium

Analysis: This one is more of a “wishlist” for me, personally. While Siaki Ika seems to be more in line with a 3-4 scheme as a nose tackle, the Chiefs should absolutely take a look. While Kansas City might want him to drop a little bit of weight to completely maximize his ability in a 4-3 defense, even at 335 pounds, Ika could be a great piece to a defense.

Kansas City opted for Derrick Nnadi for another season. If they wanted to add a project that has both a high floor and ceiling, Ika might be the guy to take in the third round. As a run stuffer, Ika would make a lot of sense alongside Chris Jones for the foreseeable future. As a massive specimen, Ika is capable of driving interior blockers backwards and eating double teams. At the college level, he made it look routine in a number of games.

While he does not check all of the boxes that Steve Spagnuolo looks for in his defensive linemen in terms of length, the power is undeniable. If he can translate his ability to the next level, the Chiefs would be wise to nab him in the third round.
