With NFL free agency beginning to show in the rearview mirror, it’s time to start thinking about the NFL Draft. Today, we have our initial full first-round mock draft!

Draft season is finally upon us. For college football enthusiasts and draft nerds alike, this may be a more exciting time than the NFL season itself. As we get closer to draft day, draft boards and mock drafts will continue to shift and adjust due to reports, rumors, and conjecture.

Today, we have our first installment of our mock drafts here at Arrowhead Addict. In this one, the Kansas City Chiefs find real value at pick 31:

Without further ado, the Carolina Panthers are now on the clock…

Anthony Richardson. 1. 87. Pick Analysis. Florida. Quarterback. player. Scouting Report

(From Chicago)

While the trendy pick seems to be Bryce Young at number one overall, it seems that more and more people are acknowledging that the ceiling for Anthony Richardson is very high. With an incredible athletic profile, the Panthers would be taking a swing for the fences. Although Richardson was somewhat inconsistent at the collegiate level, he showcased some of the best talent in the NCAA at times a season ago. If Carolina is looking for a potential franchise-altering move, this might just be the one.

Alabama. Bryce Young. player. 2. 10. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Quarterback

While the Panthers get to have the first pick of the quarterbacks, there is little doubt that the Texans will be glad to have either Bryce Young or CJ Stroud at number two overall. Bryce Young would be an enormous change from Davis Mills and would alter the offense in a number of ways. While he has some questions about his durability and size, Young flashes some very high potential. With great vision and poise, many believe that he is capable of being one of the next top-tier quarterbacks selected. Houston gets their next franchise quarterback.

Pick Analysis. EDGE. Will Anderson Jr.. 32. Scouting Report. Alabama. 3. player

In desperate need of some defensive firepower, the Cardinals stay put and select the most explosive defensive player in the draft. With great bend and burst, Will Anderson will immediately fit the mold of Arizona’s 3-4 defense. While Anderson would take a little bit of an adjustment to play the role of a 3-4 EDGE, he has the talent level that could lead to him becoming the next Von Miller. The Cardinals will need to nail this draft and with this pick, they would be on their way.
