Let’s take a look at what the latest mock drafts are saying about the Chiefs.

Another week brought us another round of NFL mock drafts, and for the Kansas City Chiefs, that means waiting for most of the best and the brightest prospects ready to make the leap from the college ranks come off the board. It can be even painful in draft simulators.

That said, the Chiefs are Super Bowl winners for good reason and they’ve learned how to make the most of such picks near the bottom of the NFL Draft. The 2023 edition will be no different, but such is life with Andy Reid as head coach.

We thought we’d take a look around the league to see what the latest mock drafts are saying about who might be available for the Chiefs in this year’s draft.

Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma (Touchdown Wire)

Anton Harrison is becoming a very common name to see linked with the Chiefs at this stage and we’re likely going to be seeing it for the next several weeks to come. The Chiefs have watched both of last year’s starting tackles leave via free agency—Orlando Brown Jr. to the Bengals and Andrew Wylie to the Commanders—and there’s a need for a ton of help at tackle.

Yes, the Chiefs have already signed Jawaan Taylor, but right tackle is still wide open and questions will hang overhead of Taylor until he proves he can man the left side. Harrison or similarly graded prospects are going to be linked with the Chiefs for the rest of the pre-draft season, which means Charles Goldman of Touchdown Wire was right to project this one for now.

Jordan Addison, WR, USC (CBS)

If the Chiefs want to add a reliable pass-catcher and playmaker to sit atop the depth chart for the next half-decade as Patrick Mahomes enters his prime years (yeah, that’s unfair), they could do a lot worse than Rick Wilson’s choice over at CBS Sports: wide receiver Jordan Addison. While his production after transferring from Pitt took a slight hit and others will fare better in pre-draft testing, the truth is that Addison has been an impact player where it matters—on the field.

Will McDonald, EDGE, Iowa St. (NBC)

Before offensive tackle became the pressing issue of the hour, defensive end was the need du jour for the Chiefs (and remains one today). That’s why Josh Schrock gives the Chiefs an excellent pass-rushing option in round one in Will McDonald IV from Iowa State. The three-time All-First Team Big 12 performer would be a nice addition opposite George Karlaftis to help define the Chiefs pass rush going forward.

Next. Offensive free agents that make sense for the Chiefs. dark
