The National Football League will have to put up with two different Kelces once again in 2023 when Jason decided against retiring.

2022 was the year of the Kelce.

While Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce have been the best at their respective positions for some time now, the truth is that the Kelce didn’t own the NFL until this past year. It looks like they will serve as rulers once again in the National Football League for at least another season in 2023.

On Monday, Jason, the elder of the Kelce brothers, announced he would return for another season after considering whether or not to retire. Here’s the post:

Just like that, the dominant performances on the field and the hilarious antics off of it will likely take center stage throughout another NFL season.

Last year was a magical one for the Kelces. First, both Travis and Jason enjoyed another incredible season of asserting their will on opponents. Jason was named All-Pro (again) while Travis set career-highs in multiple categories while leading the Chiefs offense. Secondly, the brothers also launched a new podcast called New Heights that was an instant sensation given their insider takes and charismatic personalities.

It also helped that the Kelces played against each other in Super Bowl LVII and that the game was so close. Many fans would love a repeat of that Chiefs vs Eagles game if their own favorite team could not take part. The popularity of both Kelces at that point made minor celebrities out of their parents, even.

With Travis Kelce hosting Saturday Night Live these days, it’s hard to tell just how much larger their personas can get. The good news is we get them for another season as the Kelces are better together than apart.
