The National Football League gave three more picks to the Chiefs including one in the top 100.

The National Football League announced the official list of all compensatory picks before the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday and the Kansas City Chiefs have to be pleased. They received three picks extra to add to their total initial haul of 9 to reach a total of 12 picks heading into April’s first-year player draft.

The NFL awards compensatory picks every year to teams that lost more in free agency than they gained from the previous year. For the Chiefs, last season featured a significant drain in proven, veteran talent, and now they’re being “compensated” for it—which sounds funny for a team that won the Super Bowl.

This year, the Chiefs will receive an extra third-round pick to go with two additional late-round picks in the sixth and seventh rounds. Overall, the NFL announced an extra 37 compensatory picks that were awarded to 16 franchises.

Here’s the official list of picks for the Chiefs in the 2023 NFL Draft.
