A new Netflix show, “Quarterback,” will focus on three NFL signal callers including Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs.

In collaboration with Netflix, NFL Films among others will be producing a brand new docuseries coming soon entitled Quarterback that will profile Kansas City Chiefs signal caller Patrick Mahomes along with Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings and Marcus Mariota of the Atlanta Falcons.

The series will be produced by NFL Films in conjunction with Omaha Productions, which belongs to Peyton Manning, and 2PM Productions, which is Mahomes’ own production company. Mahomes issued a statement saying film crews had behind-the-scenes access at work and home in the last year.

"“From welcoming home a new baby in the middle of the season to welcoming the Lombardi trophy back to Kansas City, our crew was there for it all.”"

The trio of protagonists sounds like an odd grouping at first, but the goal is to show what life is like for quarterbacks in varied scenarios. Cousins is a veteran in the NFC who has played for several teams. He helped the Vikings to a solid record last year but they couldn’t climb far in the postseason. Mariota is holding onto a starting role in the NFL by slim margins with a losing record.

The series was recorded all throughout the last season and will be released during the summer, but further details were not yet known.
