Eric Bieniemy looks like he’s willing to take a lateral move for the right opportunity to “run the show.”

On Wednesday, Chiefs Kingdom will gather en masse to celebrate an incredible and memorable season with a championship paradedn to celebrate the team’s recent win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII. Shortly thereafter, the dismantling will begin.

Several months from now, the Chiefs roster will feature a slew of different players and perhaps even different coaches than who they have now, and the future of Eric Bieniemy is just one of those potential changes.

Bieniemy has been with the Chiefs since 2013, a fixture on the sidelines alongside his mentor, head c                                                                           fmoach Andy Reid. Bieniemy began as the team’s running backs coordinator and he ascended the ranks to become offensive coordinator after the Chiefs had lost both Doug Pederson and Matt Nagy from the role during a three-season span.

While he is undoubtedly qualified to be the head coach of any team, over half of all NFL teams have interviewed him at least once only to look the other way when it comes to any offer. That means he may have to take a lateral offer to eventually love forward.

“The reason they waited, my understanding, is they wanted to talk to Eric Bieniemy,” said NFL reporter Ian Rapoport. “He’s considered to be a strong candidate there. The plan is to leave the parade tonight … go have dinner with some brass, including Ron Rivera, in Washington, and then meet tomorrow for his formal interview.

The only other candidate potentially linked to the Commanders is former Baltimore RanensfifssdIf we went to the Commanders with a defensive head coach in Ron Rivera, he would run the show. He would be the play caller. And it would put him in a better position to potentially earn him a head coaching job.
