The mother of both Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce is in a rare position but she’s convinced Super Bowl LVII will be the “best day ever.”

Donna Kelce is in a rare position these days. As a mother to two NFL players, the Kelce family is already the anomaly when it comes to the average American household.

With both Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce as two elite athletes playing at the highest levels of football, Donna Kelce can speak to several things that other mothers cannot. Now add the experience of watching those same sons compete in a Super Bowl and you have another level entirely.

Fortunately for the Kelce brothers’ mom, she’s feeling nothing but “pure joy” these days even with Super Bowl LVII looming on Sunday.

On the most recent episode of the New Heights podcast, founded and hosted by the Kelce brothers, they brought on their father, Ed, and mother, Donna, to talk about growing up as athletes, watching them in the draft, and their relationship as brothers. She also is asked about which team she’s ready to root for in Glendale.

“Basically what it is is I wanted just pure joy,” Donna Kelce said in response. “The first two Super Bowls that you were in, it was so tense. We wanted you to win so badly. It meant so much to get that one under your belt. This one is just going to be pure joy, pure fun … You’re both in there. How can it get any better than this? It’s going to be the best day ever.”

Given that both sons have already claimed Super Bowl glory, it might be easier on everyone to feel better about any outcome. As for Mom Kelce, she’s just going to sit back and feel proud of the spotlight her sons have earned.
